I also have hep and i'm on a transplant list in Boston. Life is good every morning i wake up. My cups always at least half full. Please call me @508-737-1465 TOM
If I'd known I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of this body!I got clean & sober 4-1-80 so I've had HepC for a long time. Thank God my son didn't get it. I first started treatment(Tx) in 1994, I've completed it 4 times, the last time for 2 years straight. It was rough and although it never worked for me I got threw it with love, support, and help from my friends. I just found out Tues. that I can't take it any more because some of the side effects they didn't know about I am now developing so I've been transfered to the Liver Transplant Team to monitor me. My viral load increased after each tx, now is 2.5 million. I weight 80 lbs and work real hard to keep that much weight on. I have a biopsy next month to see how much worse it is. I did all the tx's because I wanted to get over it, now I just want to live with it,take good care of my body and have serenity in my life and I do. I can work 7 hours a week and I do because I love my work and I volunteer at Hospice and feel so grateful to be alive and happy in my world. I have wonderful friends,a great son, a cute apt,I reach out and try to be of service to others and go on rides with my friends and love to be on the road. It's ok today to live with Hep C!!!
Well I went to the DR had all the tests and it wasn't the news I hoped for. I now in full care of the Transplant Team that comes from Phx. I have Stage 3 of Hep C, Other Hep,& Cirrhosis from the Hep C. So I don't know when I'll need or even get a new liver. But as long as I take it one day at a time I'll be ok. I'm going keep working as long as I can, They did have me guit my Hospice work. But I found a new recovery program to help women, children and men get set up after prison and they finish the half-way house. I love being of service and it keeps me focused on living and others. It's scary at times when I'm all alone but I know that when one door shuts another always opens, it's those darn hallways that get tough. Keep riding, thanks for all the support I;ve gotten The paintedlady.
My ex and a couple other friends have gone thru it,none of them have had the test come back bad.It seems that people have it dormant for years then it rears it's ugly head and gets them.I had one friend that had it come on so quick they couldn't do anything for her by the time she went in for treatment, less than a month.
JJ I had a friend who had Hep C and went throught the treatments twice.. Made her pretty sick to start with but the end results were well worth it. She still has to go to the doctor for blood work and liver check every 6 months, the damn thing is still there but all the results are positive and it has not started attacking her body again. She was into some heavy duty stuff when she was 18/19 and it did not show up till she was inher fourty....But she is leading a happy live and takes one day at a time. Husband and two children were checked with negative results......We can talk more next week.....see you then and keep the faith

I have melanoma cancer and interferon treatments are given with it working only 10% so ???? I would love to talk with anyone that has gone through the treatment for cancer. Melanoma attacks your immune system and thats why they give interferon
My friend Bobby has HEP C. He went through the treatments , twice. First time didn't work. Second time has. He's doing great now. If you want his email..let me know. He would be glad to talk he's a great guy.
